Welcome to Project Perserverance!

What is Project Perseverance? PP is based on the principles of Pursuing Life with Purpose, Passion and Power. Unbeknownst to me, this project began 15 years ago when I gave birth to my daughter Autumn Joi at the age of 17. I had no idea how to be a mom, but I believe that not only did I give birth to a beautiful baby girl, but I gave birth to a dream. As a teen mom I struggled with being broke and homeless due to lack of a support system. In the early stages of motherhood, I was completely lost and felt abandoned and broken. I had no clue how to be a mom, as I could barely take care of myself.  I could go on an on about my struggles, but I will leave those stories for later posts and fast forward just a bit.

Despite all the many obstacles I have faced, somehow by the grace of God, I persevered.  I remember when I obtained my first full time job within the federal government at 19, I spoke of a dream that one day I wanted to give back to young moms by inspiring them to chase their dreams . I wanted to give hope to a young lady and tell her that her life has not stopped because she is now a mother, but that there are so many wonderful things that she can do if she only were inspired by the right person.

I believe that God created me to be extraordinary! God already knew me before I knew myself, and he turned my "mess" into my message! He created me to be ray of sunshine, in the midst of darkness, to inspire, encourage others to walk in their full purpose, passion and with power! God took my pain, my hurt, my struggle and replaced it with my purpose. And here I am 15 years later, writing this blog is the first step in God's plan for my life, I hope to inspire not only young moms, but any and everyone!  My goal is to help others by inspiring them to recognize and fulfill their full potential mind, body and soul. Through Faith, I want to feed your soul, with positive aspirations. I wish to challenge your mind, by encouraging you to grow and learn. And finally, I want to motivate to respect and take care of your body through health and wellness support. I look forward to sharing my life and experiences with you as I spread my wings and fly.
